As Arc-Angel stated, local coin/pawn shops. If looking online, I've found that SDBullion & Gainesville Coins have low(er) premiums & I've never had an issue (GC did take a while to ship last summer when demand saw a peak). Herobullion.com is one I've heard good things about (have not used myself) & they are a smaller business - 'Yankee Silver' introduced me to them & i think they are running a promo for his viewers (Yankee has a youtube channel). With the amount you're looking to purchase, I would recommend 90%/constitutional/junk silver (pre-1965 US coins) & you may be able to find this for a decent price locally.
