Cloudflare uses a wide cast distribution of assets to mitigate DDoS efficacy. They arent a single (or just a few) datacenters like their clients would likely be.
Think of the internet as a 'web' of interconnected nodes, and their servers are spread all over that web and act as a mask for protected hosts.
In a nutshell, if someone had a botnet powerful enough to take down cloudflare, they'd have to take down every major router all over the place along the way.
If they do a comms blackout to reset everything and to purge all bad stuff from the net, then nothing will be up for a while...so board games for entertainment again...

The real problem is if Cloudflare wants to deplatform you, then it's actually pretty hard to recover your site
I figured if cloudflare is somehow in on the deep state thing, then what would the good guys have to do to counter them.
Stop using Cloudflare for starters. Trust no one
Thank you.

Yea I figured as much, thanks for the reminder I gotta dust of that old backgammon in the garage.
Well they are showing down right now in LA, along with about 12k power outtage?
Yea I was looking at that CNN thing then I saw cloudflare, so I wondered what would happen.
Nobody but they have 220 server locations so that's a lot of redundancy.
