The Lord is a jealous and avenging God; the Lord takes vengeance and is filled with wrath. The Lord takes vengeance on his foes and vents his wrath against his enemies. 3 The Lord is slow to anger but great in power; the Lord will not leave the guilty unpunished. His way is in the whirlwind and the storm, and clouds are the dust of his feet. Nahum 1:1-3

God is jealous FOR us. NOT of us. He's jealous when we follow the devil or any other leader who would only lead us down into hell. He's jealous on our behalf, wanting to draw us back to Him and have us be on the right path. When we as a country allow evil to run rampant, when we don't humble our own hearts, pray for our own forgiveness, and call out for God's justice and for other's to do the same, then we deserve His vengeance. Let's all humble ourselves and pray today. Time is short!
