BRONZE4 96-0002 VP number.
This C17 has been circling an Air Force base in South Carolina for a while now. Making super low passes. I keep expecting it to show its landed, but every time its made another circle.
The interesting thing about this plane is I believe its associated with USSS protection/logistics as its been trailing all of the recent President and VP trips. It was back and forth to the wall before and after Trump's visit and then the same with Pence's trip to Fort Drum over the weekend. I've been watching it, expecting it to head to Washington or Wilmington ahead of the inauguration.
Not sure if just training or what, but awfully weird to be doing today.
Looks to be heading back to Charleston now.
Why you say its USSS?
Hopefully my additional comment is showing up above, which explains.
Its recent flight history has been associated with each of the recent President and VP trips. So I'm assuming its been a vehicle carrier for the motorcade etc.
Maybe it has this week off and is back to training?
gotcha
Registered to USAF.
C-17 Globemaster III is a large military transport aircraft
That's over Northfield Aux Air Base...It's used for troop drops and such. Literally a firehouse and tower...Bragg guys used to do their drops there
Whatever is going on the people of the nearby town of North, South Carolina have to be getting one hell of a (loud) show this morning.
As an aside how much of a PITA must it be to give your address on the phone when you're in North, South Carolina. ?
For sure
