It is stock market lingo for when a stock shits the bed, then people buy some thinking its a bargain causing the chart to v up slightly and then the bad news/catalyst just keeps on hitting driving the stock lower and lower and lower..basically a head fake that momentum has changed, but really it didn't and the down trend continues. Stock is dead = dead cat.
