Trump had to condemn the protestors who occupied the capitol building, and he can't pardon them now. When what comes next happens, there will undoubtedly be violence from the left that makes the capitol "siege" pale in comparison. Trump cannot condone "violence" from the right and then turn around and condemn real violence from the left.
From what I have heard, none of them are being charged with serious crimes anyways.
i feel like president Trump had a plan for protest that day and feels let down that it was derailed.
Also he's been 100% consistent since the primaries. He supports the military, he supports law enforcement, he supports the rule of law. To rebel against law enforcement, to act lawlessly, to fight the police is a betrayal of everything he has stood for.
His legacy will not be one of destroying American institutions, but rather of strengthening and restoring them.
When I joined /r/the_donald in 2015, one of the things that I really liked was that it did not operate like the rest of reddit.
If someone had something to say they would stand right up and say it. If you were wrong, you would get corrected on the spot. We had the downvote button there but nobody employed it against fellow pedes. You would correct them and explain why they were wrong and they would either digest it or move along.
How is it that on a board like this where anybody can freely speak their mind, nobody has anything to say except to downvote and move along?
