Worst case scenario, the right gets some assistance from players outside the US who would be happiest seeing us pursue an America First policy; best case, alt tech leads to improvements in decentralization and mainstream media falls apart at the seams. People much prefer citizen journalism to corporate nonsense, from what I can tell.
Our elections are rigged and our media shits down opposing viewpoints, let alone alt tech.

Hope it plays out that way. I guess Musk has proven to some extent your point. But just not very hopeful at this point that things will change.
