I dont see anyone turning around; did I miss that?

I see a bunch already turned the other way because they are guarding the other side and facing it...

I'm not saying to lose hope, I just don't think this is a good illustration to gain hope from.

I saw many of them turning around as a group as the car approached, some were already facing away. The ones looking on looked on with contempt if anything, not a single salute.
