I dont think its silly to happen on live TV, but I do think if everyone is expecting it then that's probably not the time. Its sad to see people so invested in everything happening on a specific date just to have there hopes dashed. Then the immediate despair and its all a larp.

Just cause they were wrong in their predictions means its all fake. Why not just admit you don't know but believe something is happening.
