It might be coming. Sydney Powell is facing a 1.3 billion dollar lawsuit, and I think she is probably going to lose, though it might be reduced by half--now wouldn't that be dodging a bullet. I always assumed that this was why Rudy G. kept claiming that she was not part of the legal team, because he could see the obvious liability involved in making up libelous stories about businesses. He wanted to be as far away from her train wreck as possible.

You might have noticed that FOX Business News and the other alt-right news sources all made announcements that the Hugo Chavez--Dominion conspiracy theory was bogus nonsense. They had to do this because their lawyers told them that even though the media is highly protected from libel suits, they still couldn't spread evil lies about people and companies that they knew were false, and there was plenty of evidence that they knew it was all false, so they had to apologize for it and hope that it was enough to avoid a lawsuit. Sydney Powell did not seem to realize her own personal legal exposure here, which clearly makes her a very bad lawyer.

Lidell, the MyPillow guy, is not a lawyer and has only a high school diploma, but he is probably facing something similar as he has already been served with a preservation notice (do not destroy evidence), and he ignored a "cease and desist" request. And he also had no evidence though he continued to insist that he did. He will probably lose his entire company, unless his lawyers can convince a majority of the jury that he is an idiot who really believed what he was claiming. It's just utterly sad.

Did Lin Wood ever make any claims about Venezuela and China? I honestly don't know, but Dominion is right to be pissed at people who kept claiming they were a criminal organization, and there are real damages here. Imagine if the shoe were on the other foot and the CEO of Dominion repeatedly claimed on television that MyPillow was part of a seditious conspiracy against the United States, and that they had a page of evidence proving it but for some reason couldn't seem to attach the pdf to their email, or finally sent a blurry photo of an illegible document on a desk, which is what Lidell did. So if Lin Wood were part of that nonsense, being disbarred is the least of his problems. But if he hasn't gotten any letters yet then he is probably safe from that lawsuit.
