I guess I’ve just spent a bit too much time researching the sovereign citizen movement to not raise an eyebrow at the idea of the United States being a corporation. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love for what I’m reading here to be true (the apparent situation right now is just disgusting, and honestly, life under socialism or communism is not one worth living in my book), but where can I learn more and vet the corporation notion?

If a corporation is a group of people authorized to act as a single entity, or a group of people elected to govern a town or borough, wouldn’t that mean every country in the world is a corporation?
I hate to make blanket statements, but darn near every city in the country is incorporated. The main purpose of a corporation is to limit legal liability for the owners and shareholders in the event of massive screw ups. Who do you think enforces corporate law?
