A little off topic... but does anyone have an answer for why everything has some crazy ass person doing sign language in their videos now? Is this to make fun of us and drive us crazy or is it to distract from the message?... Just seems weird and its EVERYWHERE now

On one level, it’s pure virtue signal.

On another level, at least from a tech standpoint, ever notice how neatly surveillance technology lines up with special needs tech features?

Tech companies just HAVE to transcribe every video you upload - not so they can keyword search and censor, it’s to help deaf people silly!

Or, we just have to leave the microphone on all the time - it’s not so we can listen in on your conversations, conspiracy theorist lol, it’s so deaf people can be alerted to fire alarms!

And on and on.
