Could the 10 days of darkness mean 10 days without hearing from Trump? Or maybe 10 days since Trump 'left office'?

Yeah. It could be they are going to keep the Biden is President illusion going for 10 days.

Maybe it is just to give our favorite President a badly needed vacation. The poor guy has been working his tail off. I watched him get off Marine One late at night after the last rally of 2020. All the White House staff was waiting for him in the wee hours to cheer for him. The guy was so tired.
