The alleged crime took place when he was President. Conviction of the impeachment means he cannot hold federal office again.
What I would like to know is: how would that be enforceable? Are the states going to prevent Donald Trump's name from being put on the ballot? What if people write his name in? What if he wins electoral college votes?
Enforceable by repeated election fraud
But his supposed "Crime" is that he told All of his 75+ Million voters that the election was Stolen which it was and then we caused the riot. Yet the video evidence does Not back up that claim as what went through the capitol was not even 1 of the crowd that was present. Evidence Massively faces Trump, unless of course they plan to Not allow him Any Due Process to cause his followers to Storm DC and set up their narrative for puppet Joe to invite Chinese troops to be Peacekeepers as Our military can't be trusted? Yeah they Would do that, but it won't come to that.
