I won't rule out time travel. However, IF time travel is possible I don't believe it is possible to "change" the future like Terminator and Back to the Future.

The only thing you can do is change timelines. Think Hugh Everett and "Many Worlds Theory."

Quantum Mechanics teaches us that there are an infinite number of "realities." Each reality is valid except that the "Cosmic Observer" -- God -- collapses the universal wavefunction which creates the ONE true reality.

Time travel, if you make changes, only directs you to one of these alternate timelines. This is my understanding of it, could be completely wrong.
