I downloaded the swearing in clips from several news agencies, and that’s correct. All the exact same camera angles and cuts. Of course it’s possible they just shared the same feed, so I downloaded swearing in clips for Trump too to compare. Every single clip had its own camera angle. So either they severely limited camera coverage compared to the past, or they were all using the same “movie” footage.
I also noticed ABC had different camera angles leading up to the swearing, but then switched over to match every other network. I’ll try to post a video later.
After taking a closer look, I was completely mistaken. My focus was on the disappearing girls, but they are simply just standing farther back while both Hunter and Meghan step forward onto the podium. It also seems the press was probably corralled into certain areas, so the angles on the cameras are the same, but the positions are different as you can see the height difference of the glass barrier between the WSJ clip and the NTD clip. Also, the camera was a bit shaky at times for the NTD clip, while the WSJ clip is relatively stable.
Oh, come on. This kind of speculation is ridiculous. Do you even understand how the WH pool works for large scale events like this? All the networks receive the same feed. There is NO room for every network to have their own cameras, sound, production staff, etc.
They had different cameras for Trump’s inauguration is my point. Of course they can share the same feed, but why is it so different from the previous inauguration? No network cameras allowed? There’s plenty of room even with social distancing for each network to have its own camera if it wants.
