Rev. 12:14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

I believe this is a reference to the united states republic, the people of God have had such protection here to find and worship God in no way that they ever had in any other land. Congress was ordered by the constitution to not demand any sort of way be established in worshiping or finding God. Unlike any other place already in existence.(Holy Roman Empire, England)

The people of God, the children of the woman (Rev. 12:17 which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.) were able to Honestly search God without intervention.

I believe, that the "time" spoken of in 12:14 is exactly 70 years.
