Gee, I love the sound of this, but I’d highly recommend you instead look for (and then share what you find with us) a reliable, efficient military support organization where you can send cash specified for these men and women... or perhaps send requested goods for a specific need.
Or, for a more personal touch, ask that aid organization if you can send thank you cards... along with funds.
But unless you have a huge organization devoted to safely examining and then sorting and distributing items, sending physical good is almost always discouraged by aid organizations, for real and good reasons. (Every natural disaster prompts well-meaning people to ship off care packages despite aid providers nearly begging them not too.) You might look at this with cynicism, thinking charities just want fungible cash to line their pockets, but except for those charities expressly designed to process physical goods or care packages, the logistical issues and security risks are real, and may likely cause your generous and thoughtful package to go undelivered or unused.
Please don’t let me stop you from doing good for others, but I just want to caution you to perhaps research and consider this one step further.
My only concern is it wont make it there because the post office helped with the backdating or delayes mail.
I'll let you know how it goes.
Sounds good to me. I can pitch in hand made thank you cards.
This!
Fucking spot on.
