I agree with some of your points. There's obviously attempts to mislead this group with information, though that applies to all of America. At the end of the day, we are just individuals trying to find the truth. We do not have the power of large scale institutions or intelligence agencies. For us to have any hubris about ourselves would be foolish. We need to be very vigilant when examining information.
At the same time, it's important to be open minded about everything, even when it seems silly. The idea that the left would try to normalize body dysmorphia someday might've seemed silly in the 90's, yet here we are. The idea that Biden's entire inauguration was faked, is a preposterous claim. But it has to at least be looked at and considered, because I would imagine, that's the reason many of us are here. We are here because we aren't the type to dismiss things right away.
For the same reason many top CEO's and politicians tend to be psychopaths-- it's the trait of psychopathy that helped them rise in business. I think, the reason many of us are here is an open mindedness to novel ideas, and willingness to consider things beyond what is immediately obvious. Sometimes that pays off, other times it can lead you down rabbit holes of misinformation. Discernment is key.
