If you will remember the week before, there were several reports from planefags of aircraft running search patterns over some major cities. I think one was in Colorado. I never heard anymore about it. At the time I remember thinking could they be looking for a radiation signature, trying to locate a bomb. That would explain a lot. If DS /CCP said if you go through with the Plan they would detonate.
