We need to organize a prayer chain. Seriously. We are fighting powers and principalities
I am a woman and cannot physically fight and please do not ask me to as I am a pacifist.
But this does not mean that I am a slacker at SPIRITUAL WARFARE. This is something that I am very good at, better than anyone else I know.
Pacifists are a HUGE part of our problems. The enemy uses your pacifism against you because they know you won't engage in violence.
The enemy KNOWS that if they cause things to get bad enough, you will hand over your freedoms before you will engage in violence to retain them.
Pacifists will meekly walk into a gas chamber and allow the door to be locked behind them rather than fight back with violence.
You need to give some serious thought as to why you have CHOSEN to make yourself a helpless pacifist. Because it is a CHOICE.
You don't have to go looking to commit violence, but when violence comes to your door, you need to be ready and willing to commit violence to protect yourself, your loved ones, and the freedoms you cherish.
I thank God every day that George Washington got down on his knees to pray for guidance in how to fight back against the British, and to ask for help in doing so, not to ask God to do all the fighting for him so that he didn't have to dirty his hands.
God has often encouraged his people to fight for self preservation and for righteous things, and has often helped in those fights. He doesn't ask us to choose helplessness or to surrender our freedoms without a fight.
Get down on your knees and pray often, with passion, and with humility. But when the time comes to fight, then FIGHT!
I am happy for you that you are better than anyone else you know. I wish I were so free of sin.
This. God of old and new testaments is one and the same.
God did not call us to be pacifists.
However, God did say slow to anger. Lots of verses about turning the other cheek.
Peace is important and should be saught after.
Having said that, Jesus himself was filled with rightious justice when he saw what the money changers had done to the temple.
The stories about the purge of the Holy Land, Gideon, David ,many many battles and wars, are all true. And God was with them. Do not conflate Christianity and pacifism, they are not the same.
Ah, if only we could meet each other for coffee and a chat! It's so easy to judge folks whom we don't know. I bet you and I would have a lot that we agree on.
As evidenced by recent events, violent acts can be used against us, much as we used violent acts by the Left against them, without taking into account that violence always comes from a place of pain.
Hurt people hurt people.
When I said that I was a pacifist, I tell you, my dear, that I am peaceful. I abhor violence, because violence means that we have stopped listening to each other. And violence rarely works out the best for our purposes. But. I am not harmless. No worries about that one, my dear. deep bow
This is a war not with swords and horses, but a war for the hearts and minds of the American people. It is a new kind of warfare: psyops, and I fear that we are on the losing side at the moment. Hold fast, friend!
