Wow. That’s an incredibly outrageous statement for you to make. It’s actually narrow-minded & il-informed. And I’m being polite. The Old Testament holds a very important place in the life of a Christian. God is the inspirer and author of both the Old and New Testaments. In His wisdom He has shown that the new should be hidden in the old and that the old should be made manifest in the new. (That’s basically saying that Christ is Whom the Old Testament prophets spoke of). Although Christ is the fulfillment of the new Covenant, even He spoke and taught the books of the Old Testament. All of them are caught up in the Gospel message, and show their full meaning in the New Testament through Christ.
Because a young Christ taught the elders in the temple from the Old Testament, it is a lesson & evidence of its importance.
