Trump spoke in front of the gold fringed flags too, so what does that mean?

I noticed it; old corporate US / Admiralty Law system.

I don’t know what up with the gold fringe as I have heard the history but as far as I know gold fringe has been used on every enlistment ceremony for at least 7 years. I have noticed they have both been used for military ceremonies and other photo op events. So I’m not sure there is as much to the flags as everyone is hoping. I could be wrong but I’m finding holes in these theories.

Newbie here, does "covered in gold" have any relevance to the flag? Also, is that considered a wrinkled flag?
