I think looking glass may not give them an exact outcome due to free will, however everything comes to a certain point, and nothing they do can change the outcome, according to this video, if true, this may be the reasoning behind NCSWIC, there is no alternative timeline.

I am unsure of anything at this point, I am only going by what I gleaned from watching that video, it seems that up until a certain point in time everything had multiple timelines or outcomes, until it came to a certain point, and they all converged into an unchangeable outcome.
Exactly, the future is predetermined from the point of creation, we don't understand all the math but we understand enough to make rough estimations of the future given enough data and well made algorithms. Give us another million years and we will probably be able to predict the next decade of events with about 99.9% accuracy.
