My grandmother, like most of her generation, used to be a staunch Democrat. She became more conservative as the Democrats drifted farther left, but went full redpill when Trump came down that escalator in 2015. She spoke often of her admiration for him and her disgust of the left. She believed that the end times were upon our country. A final battle of good versus evil.

Many years before that, she already had an aversion toward progressive liberal ideas. One such television program was starting during a visit. I was expecting her to change the channel immediately, but to my surprise she continued watching. She slowly turned to me and with a wry smile whispered, "I'm going watch this one just to see how bad it gets."
