Dominion sues Guiliani for defamation.
Any intentional false communication, either written or spoken, that harms a person's reputation; decreases the respect, regard, or confidence in which a person is held; or induces disparaging, hostile, or disagreeable opinions or feelings against a person.
They will have to prove that somehow and Guiliani will be able to defend himself. How would he do that?
By presenting and hopefully proving the validity of his claims, i.e. proving that his communication wasn't false, i.e. that voter fraud indeed has occured.
Just a hunch, but makes a lot more sense than presenting the evidence at the Trump impeachment.
The problem is it's not a 'real' lawsuit. They got the headline already so they'll quietly kill it in a few months.
The accusation is all they care about. It's SEO so any time someone googles Rudy's name this is what will come up.
As much as I dislike the thought, you do make a good point.
I haven't decided what to think about the fact that Dominion has filed that suit, in the first place. They must have had the same thought (as me), somewhere along the line. Doesn't it matter, after all; am I missing something else? Do they (think they) have a counter-strategy? (Premise being that your thought isn't correct, ofc)
I agree, once the discovery stage starts, Dominion will quietly drop the case and the mockingbird media will bury the story. Dominion is merely filling these cases for the headlines knowing the media will play along.
