You'd like to think that is the case but with elderly people the choice is not always that simple.
The hospital my daughter was born in ceased visitation a few days before the vaccinations were set to be administered at the hospital.
I know people who had a hard time coordinating care decisions with doctors and nurses via phone. I think this is by design. Its very sad.
Also I've heard some nursing homes were not allowing residents to stay without a vaccination. That's an impossible decision for someone in need of that level of care. There's many ways to force a vaccination
I agree 100 percent!
As a nurse who works in long term care (nursing homes), I can assure you we are not devils. Most of us love our work and love the people we care for. Many have families who are regular visitors (or were before they were locked out), but many are all alone. I have nurse friends who pray together often for guidance and love to help them do their jobs. No devils that I've met.
