Remember back in the 90's when we were told our spy satellites could read the date off of a dime from space?

If I'm not mistaken, those were Keyhole satellites. Not a lot of people realize that Google Maps and Google Earth are using images from Keyhole.

Google purchases Keyhole in 2004

Now I would think that the sale of Keyhole wouldn't be allowed to just anyone....
