Looked for major events and find nothing, closest is the Cherry Blossom parades/events about 10 days later. Weird....maybe it’s just a seasonal rate adjustment? That happens of course but I think generally only in ‘destinations’ whose attraction revolves around seasonality....ie; beaches, skiiing, etc.
