Curious. We were actually allowed limited cheatsheets for a few formula-heavy classes in old pre-computer days. What do people do now?
We are allowed to have a note card but the issue is really getting through a good amount of material in 110 minutes so the issue is having to be quick. Focusing through all this BS has been impossible! Now its really all about using things like Chegg for expert help and reverse image searching questions for similar ones. This OCHEM professor is so nasty, decides to make things impossible instead of just making sure we know the reactions and concepts. Ive given up on med-school at this point so I am just trying to get through and pass this class. Academia has become such bullshit. For so many people that care about science I would love them to compare #of college students who died from suicide v. #who died from COVID-19
The axiom of if you can not do (work in the private sector) then you teach (get on the gov dole ) is so so true.
I feel for you. I had one who delighted in derailing biology majors who were PhD candidates and had to pass his class. There are profs like that in every field though, even English. If you aren't in too deep in this class atm I would drop out and take it again. Tell 'em you got wiped out by Corona. ?
