You seem very emotional about this. I never said Russia was a great place to live, perhaps your angst is the dissonance you're feeling when trying to force the idea that the US is a great place to live when it perhaps isn't anymore.

No, not emotional. Analytical, and factual. And really tired of telling people they are full of shit, to only see them go into a non-stop circle jerk instead of actually educating themselves on a subject. Up your hormones level with your "you're emotional" crap.
And yet in your 1000 word thesis response to me you missed that I never said Russia was a great place to live, you straw manned that, meanwhile Russia has a significantly better literacy rate than the US. It has better tertiary education attainment that the US, better debt to GDP than the US, paid maternity leave, and IIRC a better GINI co-efficient. These are factual points of debate, your soapbox consists of "Putin is evil", well fine, if all leaders are seemingly evil then the only question left is what is the outlook for X country over the next 50 years and unless radical change happens the US is demographically dead.
