I hate bursting people's bubbles, but I also wish people would stop jumping to this;
That's standard landing holding pattern. See the airport in the middle (Perry-Houston County Airport)? Planes don't land at the same time when it's just one runway. If other planes get there first and are either taking off or landing, any trying to land second will have to circle around until they are cleared for landing.
If you see any air Q's or ovals, before reporting them, be sure to check for airports underneath.
First, it's not circling the airport, it's circling this: https://guardiancenters.com/ - A military/LE training center (a very cool one, too). It jumped out of that pattern once that I can see so far, creating the "Q" shape in the process. Also, it's a county airport - there's no way it would have that much traffic for a plane to be in that long a pattern. They'd just divert it to another airport if they couldn't clear it in. Also, it's doing over 200 kts.
keeps bouncing off and back on radar to....something is going on
Yep, and it wasn't squawking an ident.
