- 2 VENUS flights out of DC (practice/training). One came out of TX and met the other at Andrews. They are now going south down the coast together
- 3 Be20 Hurons out of Kentucky this morning doing the same pattern. The are transport planes for higher up members of the military
- A SAM out of DC it is an AF2 plane, but the SAM callsign indicates it's a high level official NOT kamala
- A lot of US P8 planes up and trying to stay hidden over both the US and overseas. These planes are anti-submarine and anti-surface planes with large weapons bays. Due to the nature of these planes, the lengths they are going to stay hidden and the fact that they are 'our guys' I will not be posting any up here. Godspeed soldiers
Does anyone have a list of the KC-135 that have been upgraded with advanced surveillance capability? I used to have that list but can't find it. Btw, if I remember correctly, the KC-10 also has advanced surveillance capability that can be enhanced with a module that hooks into the avionics system.
Edit: the KC-135s that I'm thinking of were the 4 "Rivit Quick" birds. It looks like they have been retired.
Super cool! I was stationed at a KC-135 base. I love those planes. Seeing one doing a refueling is an awesome sight. Btw, you have confirmed what I and many others are suspecting, that the birds being refueled are flying dark.
I guess I'm weird. My favorite planes have always been tankers and cargo, C-17, KC-135, C-130 (AC-130, yay), KC-10.
