The guy in the video does an excellent job of showing why this doesn’t work.
I’ll take a stab at it:
Hypocrisy is not applying your stated/promoted principles to your own behavior - “rules for thee but not for me.”
The assumption here is that the stated/promoted principle is the value, the desired goal, the thing you want.
We assume wrong.
The Left does recognize fixed value. They believe in moral relativism. Anything goes - as long as they are the judges. So when they screech over someone’s behavior or words - which we perceive as a call to principles - for them it is a call to power; they don’t care what the “rule” is (moral relativism) they only care who rules.
