This story is horrifying. Peaceful assembly is a Right under the Bill of Rights. This is a powerful tactic to chill political dialogue and peaceful assembly. We The People need to be proactive. Can you go to your local representative and ask for him/her to write a bill that makes such tactics illegal? If a Dem, I'd guess not. How to push for legislation against harassment by the government -- that is how I think this should be approached. How else can we turn this personal story (and there may be others) into a movement to protect our rights? I'm thinking here of how little investors banded together to bring down the hedge funds this week. How can we do this for our civil rights?
