History lesson: the Spartans worse defeat happened after the enemy learned of the religious habits of the Spartans. Spartans would not eat the day before a fight. An enemy general would challenge them every day. Then would say, tommorow, then leave. 2 weeks of the Spartans not eating, then the enemy general attacked. Spartans were so weakened due to malnutrition that they got slaughtered. Lesson: pick your battles. Don't let the enemy pick them.
