About 10yrs ago that happened in VA, cicadas everywhere. It sounded like I drove through a paintball tournament for about 30 minutes. Windshield was taking such a hit I ran out of washer fluid and had to hit the first gas station I could get to, to scrub the rest off. Man what a mess.
