Sorry Anderson Cooper but this is the Virgin Mary- not that dark witch in the box.

Mary is the Mother of God - whom God himself chose. Jesus himself stated she is Our mother- and like any parent helps protect her children.
She's the mother of Jesus, mother to His mortal body, Mary is not the mother of God, as He existed before all that exists. Mary like all of God's chosen people, was a mortal servant of the Lord, she has no power.
That doesn't minimize her contribution to humanity, raising the child who would give His life to humanity for our salvation, but let's not mistake her for a deity, she's no greater than any of God's prophets of the past, and nor is she greater than any devoted woman of faith who serves the Lord.
John 19:26-27
You omitted important context, read the whole thing:
He was speaking directly to him, not to us. And even if He were speaking to us, no where does that scripture suggest we must pray to Mary instead of Jesus, God, or the Holy Spirit.
Jesus has seated her on the throne- look up The Assumption- she is our heavenly Mother is what Christ tells us- we don’t worship her - we ask for her help & intercession to send our prayers to God. Just like we can ask Angels to intercede for us.
What you're describing is prayer, praying to Marry, that's no different than praying to our ancestors or past relatives, that's not compatible with a Christian worldview, they don't help us, they have no power where they are, we need no intercession between us and Jesus. He is the one we go to directly.
