The strange idolatry surrounding Mary is the result of Pagan infiltrators in the earliest eras of Catholicism, they taught their occult beliefs and rituals under a new "coat of paint" so to speak by using Christian figures and symbols in place of their pagan iconography and false gods.

It pains me to see that so many haven't rooted this out of their practices.
