Why aren't there any lights on at the white house? It's the middle of the day and pretty dark from snowing. The top right window is supposedly a kitchen? I'm sure there's people there that have to eat. Is this normal?

Do you want to talk about Guardian saying that it only happens following a president’s death?
Of course I saw that; I pasted that also. So the Guardian said 'only happens following a president's death', but the White House said it's standard practice. This was the white house under Trump, not Biden, so why would the White House spokesperson lie?
And I also re-read the 'Travelocity' woman's post. She said the area outside the WH is a mess, due to daily, ongoing protests. She wasn't talking about any particular protest, just the fact that there's always 'some' protest and thus, the place is a mess. But then she said, it finally calms down in the evening and is beautiful when the lights go out at 11pm.
