It was all good to go in about 2005-6 - why didn't they bang on with it ?

In a similar vein - Obama had a pandemic in 2009 Swine Flu ? Why didn't they bang a covid type lockdown then ?

Invading Iran is harder than it sounds. The lowlands of Iran are an ocean of mud. The civilization is built in the mountains. No one has conquered Persia since Alexander the Great and he lost control the minute he marched his army out.
