Trump is a badass no doubt. Best president ever by far. But I don’t understand his role with vaccines. Most of us, including myself, don’t trust the vaccines. But we trust Trump, yet he speaks highly of the vaccines. What are y’all’s thoughts?

I think Trump was at the mercy of his medical advisors here. He was also a "right to try" person and didn't want the vaccines to be mandatory.
I think his push to get vaccines available had everything to do with removing excuses from Democrat Governors for keeping their states shut down. Since he believes in right to try and strong GOP Governors stayed open, there would be very little push to force vaccines in places like Florida, Texas, South Dakota etc since they were already open. They would distribute to those why want them.
