I don't think the Myanmar military is really respected in the US right? They are viewed as anti-democratic because they dominated the country for decades. So I think this would only harden opinions against the US military seizing power. If it mattered at all, which I don't think it will because Americans don't pay close attention to international politics anyway.

I don't know if I could pick a side here. You are right, but on the other hand, my understanding is that the peoples' vote was stolen from them in a rigged election and pleas to investigate were dismissed out of hand (sound familiar?)

F*** around with voter's rights and find out.
