I've never seen them fly that close in formation, not refuelers. The are roughly 2 nm apart, which is pretty far in the grand scheme of things, but not sure why they are both that flying the same pattern right on top of each other. There are also two C17s doing it too, BASCO11 and BASCO51
And just like that.... the C17 is gonzo! So cool!
They both show a callsign for me
Dang. Now I feel dumb. Is it normal for them to fly so close together like that?
And within 1000 ft of a C17 which they just changed directions to now lead?
Yea its normal. Could be doing refueling runs or something.
Thank you. I have become fascinated with planes! I just always have so many questions.
The two pegasus are refuling the globemaster
Oh, that's so neat. Thank you.
I've seen them tag team before. Must be a lot of thirsty fighters along their stick
Lion68 joining in now
And now the C17 is WAYYYYY up there.
went dark for me
Me too. After it went WAY up (over 120k ft [according to the readout]) and POOF! Gone. Maybe I need to join the AF.
That would be neat! I feel like I'd just get in the way though
Looks like they are gonna hook up with that globemaster
That's EXACTLY what they did.
