Fun Facts: Gloria Vanderbilt's father was an alcoholic and drank himself to death when she was very young. Her mother was a foreign national, and she and her twin were known to be "fast". Gloria's aunt was King Edward VIII's girlfriend until she introduced him to her BFF Wallis Simpson-- Wallis and Ed got married and remained Nazi's until they both died.

Gloria's mother was a lesbian (one of her girlfriends was a communist spy) and lost custody of her after a long court battle in New York. Gloria was raised by her Aunt and saw her mother in supervised visits. When Glo was 17 her Aunt died and she ran off to Hollyweird. She got in some questionable relationships with older men and reported that she had been abused by some. She didn't specify how.

Glo was married 3 times before she married and had children with Wyatt Cooper. A writer from Quitman, Mississippi. Wyatt's death was premature and occurred during open heart surgery. Sons Carter and Anderson were 13 and 11 respectively. Her son Carter died under very suspicious circumstances when he supposedly jumped out of a window on the 14th floor.
