Ok so I'm gonna ask an obvious question here: What could Trump's play in this be? He pushed the vaccine, touts it as one of his greatest achievements. Many of his base knows COVID is a scam, is just the flu, and probably realize a rushed vaccine could be very dangerous. So why did he push so hard for something so dangerous? Are the people who will suffer from this dangerous vaccine just casualties of war? Could this be a play against major pharmaceutical companies? Thoughts?

I have been troubled by these same questions. I decided that he must thought the optics require him to go with the “science” guys to look responsible in handling. He’s undoubtedly a genius but he is not omniscient.
