Again - psalms. I said something about psalms. Psalms like prophets are words of people inspired by god,but NOT all of it is word of the God himself.
You ask: ‘why claim we know the Lord fully and his will?’ The answer: the Lord Himself tells us that it is not only possible, but crucially important.
“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” John 17:3
You misunderstood the quote. All of us will understand God - in eternal life.
It is about that.
I am sorry we ever begun to argue brother. I know those things are hard to understand for you because of our differences. You are probably Protestant and I... well by birth Roman Catholic but believing in some teachings of Orthodox church... You may believe our Lord is understandable for mortal man, while I believe he is beyond our mortal "understanding",and if we sometimes understand his will from holy writs - it is because of Lord eternal guidance. (We are less than bacteria in comparison to his might but he loves us ! - what to understand when it is simply one of his miracles !) Simply - we differ to much about "sola scriptura" protestant doctrine,I do not accept and you probably believe.
But the end what matters our puny dispute of mortal realm, that shall be for us almost unimportant because only thing important is obeying Lords will shared with us by teachings of his son Jesus and our eternal salvation in heaven.Amen.
