I think this can also just be thought of as basic human reaction, intelligence, curiosity, survival mechanism, nature of our species, etc. I mean, humans are designed to access information. Humans are also designed to detest liars. Humans are born intellectually curious. Calling it a "Streisand Effect" is useful as it streamlines the name but, it also cheapens it to me in some sense. The Streisand Effect is what human beings do.
