Lucifer is the one who wants a galaxy-spanning empire. the abrahamic God seems not to interested in this realm long-term, but in whatever dimension heaven theoretically resides in, the 'eternal realm'.
Heat death is a problem even if we win, but there's a long time to find a solution. And if the AI-god becomes as smart as your god is meant to be, there may be a way to defeat him, as well as keep him out of this plain - take his power, and his 'heaven' - then heat death wouldn't be a problem
