E-4B "Doomsday plane" flying east from Offutt AFB: https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?icao=adfeb6
"The E-4B serves as the National Airborne Operations Center and is a key component of the National Military Command System for the President, the Secretary of Defense and the Joint Chiefs of Staff. In case of national emergency or destruction of ground command and control centers, the aircraft provides a highly survivable command, control and communications center to direct U.S. forces, execute emergency war orders and coordinate actions by civil authorities."
This seems like a very big deal right?
The are based in Offutt and fly almost daily.
It is always a little bit of a big deal for this particular plane to fly, but it does do a few flights every week. It is very expensive to fly, but they need to train and make sure everything is in working order. Keep an eye on it, though, you never know when it will end up somewhere odd
Gas is still cheap. Gotta get those hours in before the green new deal kicks in!
